Employee Can Reject the Promotion only once

Government of Andhra Pradesh, General Administration Department has issued Government Order Ms.No.227 on May 30, 2014. In this order the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436.

General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996 and published in part-I Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.34, dated the 27th January, 1997, as subsequently amended from time to time.

NOTIFICATION: In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436,

General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996 and published in part-I Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.34, dated the 27th January, 1997, as subsequently amended from time to time: –

In the said rules, in rule 11, after sub-rule (b), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: – “Provided that the employee, who does not join the post within the stipulated time or evades to join the post by proceeding on leave, second time also, shall lose his promotion right / offer permanently.”
